It is surrounded by stunning scenery and a rich past. This area has played host to some of the most famous names in history including St Kessog - Scotland’s first patron saint; the hero of Bannockburn, King Robert, The Bruce; and the notorious outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor.
There is an abundance of outdoor activities on the doorstep, including kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding and much more on the loch. Those who prefer to keep their feet dry can walk the surrounding hills for miles and even climb a Munro. Others can indulge in mountain biking, wildlife spotting, and explore neighbouring picturesque communities such as Luss, Inveraray or Helensburgh.
